  • Dear Eddie BLOG
WELCOME to Positively Perfect Performance!!  Model horse performance has always fascinated me and is the area of the hobby I have focused on.  The model horse hobby has grown by "leaps and bounds" during the 14 years I have been part of it. This website and my BLOG are going to be "everything" to do with showing models in performance classes...hints, entry critiques, discussions of judging, class explanations, diagrams, patterns and tests for trail, showmanship, dressage, etc.

I have been riding horses for over 56 years, showing for 48 years, a judge for 35 years and a horse show manager for 16 years.  I did  photo showing for 8 years...then began  live  showing my models.  I attended 4 NAN  qualifying shows and NAN 2008 in Kentucky.  I won 16 championships and 28 Top Tens in the performance classes at NAN.  Since I began showing model horses I have tried to integrate my knowledge and experience in the real horse show world with our miniature equines.  My basic philosophy is "showing the models is a competition"...performance entries should be as correct and realistic as possible!!  Some adaptations have to be made...but the rules for each class should be followed as closely as we can using the model horses.

The BLOG can address more varied subjects than my website.  I know sitting down to read educational articles is not everyone's "cup of tea"!! My goal for the BLOG is to be specific and informative in a quick and easy manner.  I'd like to help everyone interested in improving their showing and judging of performance entries. "Dear Eddie" is handling the BLOG for me..he is a horse who has been around, participated in and studied the horse show world for many years...he will be glad to answer any questions you may have. If he doesn't know the answer...he will do his best to search out the correct information for you.
